It has been an exciting week for me, I just had a patient who came here to us because he was having neurological problems that no one can seem to find out what it is. All the tests, scans were done which did not lean on any diagnosis. He was deteriorating according to him; lost balance, double vision, poor memory and body weakness.

I tried to do biofeedback and in 7 sessions, he claimed to have better balance, (doesn't use the walker anymore), double vision has almost disappeared. he is very happy.

Nutrition

Many people know but they don't realize the importance of supplementing themselves of vitamins and minerals. People take for granted or are unaware that nutrient deficiencies has a big impact on their overall health. To think that eating a balanced diet is enough, is a misconception. Because, no one can really say what is YOUR balanced diet. Each person is unique and therefore nutrient requirements are also different.

Likewise, the adequate amount of vegetables needed to meet these requirements is at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetable everyday. Unless you have like a daily 5-course meal, you will not meet this requirement. So I always tell my patients to take vitamin supplementation, whether they eat more, less or adequate amount of food.

This is my first post. I have been in the field of medicine for a measly 6 years, and I feel I still have a long way to go. In terms of knowledge, I know I am as capable as anyone and yet... in real life, I feel that not everything will be learned in a formal medical education setting. Every patient no matter how similar their problems are, is unique as they are unique individuals themselves.
